Terminal Tractor
Does anyone know of a mod that adds a terminal tractor to ATS?

Not that I'm aware of, nice idea though...

So a yard dog? None that I can find.

Or maybe a short chassis 4x2 cabover? I'm looking for something short that can handle the shortboxes for fun, my daily use tractor is a little over 9 meters long and shortboxes give it hell when backing into tight bays.

A recently released mod called "389 4x2 with extras" that adds 4x2 to the stock 389.

Has been asked numerous times. Not sure why they are not included just for the sake of variety. Could be licensing thing.

Everything is a licensing thing.
I fear ATS will shrivel and die before we have another licensed truck. SCS should scrap the licensed trucks already and create their own models.

And get sued for using fake name trucks. You know the top downloaded mod on the workshop would be the one that changes CargoLiner to FreightLiner.

Mods are not their responsibility.
I say do it

Sometimes even styling is licensed, and therefore they'd have to cut corners in realisticness. It's better to get the licenses...

And then everyone will complain about how they are leaving the work to the modders, just like many haters are saying now. Also, they already have 4 licenses; I would be weird to have some licensed and some unlicensed trucks.

I suppose so.
But how long do they think they can get by with only 2 manufacturers? This really is piss poor planning for the future, amd complete idiocy from the manufacturers.

I agree, it is idiocy from the manufacturers; People who love and drive their trucks want this, and then people will be like "Well in the game I like (for example) the Freightliner Cascadia best in game", and then when they go on to buy a truck IRL they pick the Cascadia. It's great marketing, and people might like your truck, so why not do it?

Thanks! I grabbed this one and when I'm finished with my current load I'll install it and check it out. I'll have to see how much shorter it is than my 579 6x2 daycab I've been using so far.

I was just thinking this a few days ago. I could take a few screenshots of my ATS truck into a Peterbilt dealership and say...

This is the truck I'm looking for, make it happen!

Yep. And then the company would have one more customer, thanks to them being in the game.
