Is this game worth it without a steering wheel?

I have wanted to play this game for a long time but I don't have a wheel. I have keyboard and mouse and a xbox controller.

I have almost 900 hours on this game, playing with a keyboard. It's a lot of fun to drive no matter the steering input. I'd assume that steering wheel makes the game even better, but you don't need it at all.

Plus, I'm sure there's a demo available for this game, so try yourself.

Nearly 400h with keyboard.
Whenever possible i have cruise control active and just steer while adjusting speed with Ctrl&Shift which are linked to set CC 5mph+-

I played for the longest time with a controller, still fun and worth it. I just got a pedal, wheel and shifter a few weeks ago

I used a G27 until it broke, now I use a 360 controller.

Use the mouse as steering, best you can do without one, and yeah, its still awesome without.

Yes. I've played this and ETS2 with keyboard for years. It's a helluva lot of fun and works extremely well with keyboard driving.

You don't need a steering wheel. The keyboard is very good in this game. But over time, you may want to save up money for a controller, or steering wheel.

Tried controller and wheel. Still prefer mouse and keyboard.

I drive a real truck all day so I like to play this with a PS4 controller so I can just sit back and relax and listen to a podcast

I have been playing ATS and ETS2 with a keyboard and mouse for years. Tried an Xbox 360 controller for a bit but hated it.

I started with an 8-button USB game controller and that worked just fine. I moved on to a steering wheel and pedals (just a budget Drift-Oz) because I also use it for Assetto Corsa and rally games. It isn't essential to have a wheel, but it does add to the simulation feel.
