Newbie Help - Truck Wont accelerate past 20mph
Hi Folks,
Dying for some help. Driving first truck for the first time. I am using Thrustmaster T300 RS GT with thrusmaster TH8A shifter with Simnu-shift knob. I was able to set everything up so I can use a 10 speed or 13 speed or 18 speed. I am able to shift through the gears but my speed won't get any higher than about 15-25 mph. I have used a truck with 10 speed ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and a truck with a 13 speed ♥♥♥♥♥♥. I made sure a changed the trans setting in game to go with the the truck and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ I selected. I checked the shifting pattern and the shifter operated correctly for each transmission. However, the speed never got higher than 25 after climbing through all the gears to the highest gear. For some reason I am thing it has to do with the throttle. If I sit parked in neutral and push the gas pedal to fhe floor the tech only rises to 1600 rpm. I have checked every setting I can think of without any luck. I would greatly appreciated any help someone might be able to give. I am very disappointed after finally getting eveything setup and now I cant drive more than 25mph regardless of road type

Did you take the parking brake off?

Have you put a tick in the toggle option under the gears in the Controls options in-game?

You are saying this based on the gear indicator on your dash or on the Route Advisor? What sort of RPM are you at in the higher gears?
It really sounds like you are stuck in lower gears.

That's something that kept happening to me whenever I drove a truck with a liftable axle: unless all wheels were down, with or without a trailer, the truck would only go about 15 mph. Mind you, I drive with an automatic transmission using an Xbox controller.

yep, and I have assigned a toggle for the range and one for high low. The shifter is working properly. I can reach highest gear with 10 speed. The gear reads the same on the dash and in the nav box

He means that Shifter Toggle uses Switch mode box being checked.

And in options/controls the axis assignment for throttle goes from none to full bar as it should, brake is not always on, etc?

The two agree. I can reach the highest gear (9th) using the 10 speed. My range switch on the shifter works fine to reach the higher gears. In highest gear I am running 20 something mph with a tech setting 2500

Yes, that is what I meant when I said yep. I have checked the box for Shifter Toggle uses Switch mode

yes, the throttle bar goes to full green

And the brake is fully off when your foot is off the pedal? The axis settings can need attention...

I believe so. The truck will roll backwards. Is there anyway of confirming there is no brake? The brake and clutch calibration went full same as the throttle

If when your foot is off the pedal the axis is at zero then "brake on all the time" is not your problem either. Sometimes folks have brake as "normal" when it need to be "inverted" or vice versa. Centered is of course never correct for the brake. Nothing subtle about it though, you either have it right or wrong.

Everything is good with the brake. I actually played with that as part of trying to trouble shoot this issue. I am so dissappointed. I can't figure out what is wrong.
