Articulated Trailers
I'm not a driver myself (only in games), and find these trailers a little tricky to manoeuvre sometimes. Especially around the tighter corners, while trying not to go too much onto the other side of the road (mainly with the larger hauls, to be fair).

Just looking for some general advice and knowledge for moving the large loads, and using these particular types of trailers.

Many thanks!

For cornering, when you approach the turn, move your truck as far over as possible. If you're turning right, move to the right side and vice versa. When you get closer, swing out as wide as you can. Don't worry about going into other lanes, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Always watch your mirrors and pay attention to the AI traffic. And most importantly, keep practicing.

Some people make the mistake of turning too soon as soon as they see the corner so they ultimately see the trailer go on the pavement. Best thing to do is take the corner as late as possible and slowly allowing the trailer as much room to swing round as possible. Also go as wide as possible but you don't always have to encroach in the opposite lane. Doubles are nice to practice with and medium long trailers too. Heavy Haul and Special Transport jobs are a bit different particularly the latter.

Thanks, guys! I'll take that into consideration, and keep practising.

Most of the time, I'm not doing too bad, but some of the routes are just crazy. Finished a heavy tank delivery earlier, that was down the windiest road I've ever experienced. Luckily, the escorts managed to keep most of the traffic out of the way, and I made it safely.

More often that not, getting out of the bloody depot is the hardest part.

You don't turn a truck around a corner like you do a car. You have to make a wider turn..

Yeah, I'm familiar with the logistics of hauling, but was just wondering if there was anything in particular that made articulated trailers easier.

My questions has already been answered, but thanks anyway.

Old post, but this helped me a ton. I always thought to start lined up on the outside of your turn. Lining up on the inside, then swinging out a bit before turning, makes a big difference.
