Customization
Hi all, I'm totally new to the game and genre and enjoying myself so far. But I cannot find if/how to put custom images for your character and company logo, nor if I can do manual custom paint jobs on my truck besides purchasing premade ones or getting workshop ones.

If any of this is possible, I'd appreciate a how-to or a link to a how-to. :)

Thanks everyone!

I think those would venture into modding territory. I've certainly seen custom company images and custom paint jobs before. So, yes, that's definitely possible.

Others may know better. I for one would really like to see an easy way to make custom paint jobs eventually, but I guess this is not a suggestion thread.

Yes these things are a modding area, head over to the official SCS forum[forum.scssoft.com], there's stacks of info on modding to be had there.

There is also the Modding Wiki[modding.scssoft.com].

Good to hear your enjoying the game :)

From the Launchpad screen, click "Connect Profile to World of Trucks" then I'm pretty sure you can assign a custom profile avatar and company avatar, and even a custom licence plate (?).
The only other way is a mod.. but you also have to have the switch -force_mods present in the launch options for the game. This is because some sounds/images are loaded before the profile is loaded.

The profile avatar in World of Trucks is for the website profile only, not in-game. AFAIK the only customizable thing is the plates which will show up on your truck in-game.

The avatar shows up in game on the next sync with WoC. I just did it last night.

^^ Been running a custom profile pic for awhile.

I can't remember what it was, but something about editting a picture and saving it as a jpeg didn't show up right in the game. I remember .png was the only way to get it looking like hired drivers with the truck in the background. Something about how jpeg flattens the picture basically giving it a white background instead of a blank background...if that makes sense.

This is not correct. It used to be that when you connected to WoT your WoT avatar would replace your in game avatar (been that way since WoT was created). Now there is a in game option to use the in game avatar & be connected to WoT :)

Anyone into Commissioning Liveries $$$? I'd love to have my Company Skins made for my trucks. But don't have photoshop capabilities or time to invest in researching for making a one off skin.
