Show ETA in real time (ie, not in-game time)
Is there a way to show all ETAs as real minutes or hours rather than in-game time? I would prefer to know how many real-time minutes it will take me to reach a destination so that I don't have to convert the in-game hours/minutes myself.

That would just be pointless since the scale is 1:20, it would just be stupid i f it stand in real time etc40 minutes or something like that.If the scale was 1:1 it would made more sense if the showed it in real time, my advice is follow the speedlimits and take your time. Then the trips would feel longer, roleplay that you take some food\drinks etc.

Every job gives you a total amount of hours before it has to be delivered, even short jobs. There's no rush at all. Going the speed limit just gets you there faster and/or,as predicted on your GPS. I usually run 70 in a 75m/ph speed limit. I'm in no rush and often slower, depending on how I feel when driving,at the time. The larger trucks handle a bit better at around 65m/ph so, I try not to exceed 70 in most cases.

I think the answer is no, at least I've never seen an option or mod that does it.

I am talking about actual gameplay time in case anyone is confused by my OP. What I do is break out my calculator and do a little math which is surprisingly accurate based on a consistently average speed. Still, it would be nice to see the ETA displayed in gameplay time to make it easier.

Which you're going to have to keep right on doing. There's no option for displaying ETAs in real-time.

I think what he's looking for is an easier to guage how long its going to take to do a job...like actually sitting at his computer. I can understand where the OP is coming from by asking.

As already alluded, this isn't how the game is designed. Having that takes away from the simulation portion of the game and completely negates the scale of the map. Are you actually driving 400 miles in 20 minutes? That's 1200 miles an hour.

Again, I understand why you would want to see that information...life and all. It's just completely counteractive to the design of the core systems to display that in-game.

It wouldn't negate the scale of the map. It just tells the player how many real-life minutes/hours they will be at their computer with a controller in their hand. For those players who don't mind having their foot halfway between reality and immersion, it would be a good feature to have.

So I'm basically breaking the game by calculating the value myself?

At any rate, doesn't matter much since it's currently not possible which I suspected, but still hoped for perhaps a mod solution.

Real would be sweet then I could decide if i wanted to sit for the next 4 hours in real time to do a job.

This is exactly why I want to see real time because I like to finish jobs in one sitting. Can always save the game on longer routes, but seeing real time would be nice.

I see there's already a thread on this so I'd like to just bump it. Is there currently any way to do this? A fake eta using scaled time is completely meaningless to me. I would like to see the eta auto converted to my real life minutes so I know how long I'm gonna be sitting irl.

No it's not possible

Given the eta is calculated using a formula, with a little experience you should be able to convert in game hours to real life mins.
Hi!

Rough estimate is 3 times lesser than in-game time @ 1:20 scale.

When one does the same job length over time, one can pretty much have an idea on how long it takes to do a job, depending on the freight. I calculate in my head an estimation on how long it takes, based on about a half hour for a typical 250 mile run and adjust from there with variables such as the route and cargo and go from there.

Easy peasy.

It's a pretty straight forward formula, convert ETA to minutes, divide by 20 = real time minutes.

It's not exact as it won't take into account time stuck at junctions. Traffic lights won't matter too much as they are mostly in cities were the time isn't 1:20
