Service boat (ATS Special Transport)
Is it just me or is the service boat very rare? I have not found one yet. :-(

I picked up the boat in San Francisco on my 3rd ST job. Not sure how rare it is or if it's tied to specific locations though.

You are right, both of you.

I only spotted the service boat on the San Francisco - Fresno job

The shark tank was just used for testing, it's not in the game

List of all cargoes is in the guide below

you pick it up in San Francisco and move it to Fresno but the boat can not be used as a load until Oregon installed because you need Oregon to haul boats because the last two jobs are in Oregon.

You don't need Oregon for it

As far as I'm aware, the service boat currently only spawns in Portland. There are no special transport jobs of any kind in San Francisco.

(I know this thread is old, but it's the first result in google search)

I have completed all others and now i am finding only the boat. About the map expansions, i have only the New Mexico now, but i really need buy the Oregon to take from Portland?
Madkine Mar 13, 2023 @ 9:12pm
Unfortunately yes.

I can confirm now, after you purchase the Oregon, the route with service boat are avaliable from Portland to Newport. I sugest you complete the achievment "Go big or go Home" before purchase the Oregon, its becouse the routes are increased if you have more maps.

Hello, so I wanted to get the feel of how the map in the game expanded so I purchased the base map first and then later New Mexico. I also purchased all the cargo-related DLCs, and one by one, trying to get the achievements I can possibly do with what I have.

Now I'm stuck with "Big in America" cause I'm not seeing any "Service Boat" job. SO I stumbled upon this thread by searching, and just so I'm dumb, let me repeat it so that I can understand it correctly, Should I wait with a lookout while I do other jobs for "Go Big or Go Home" for it to spawn, or is it not possible till I get Oregon?

Also, can I get the "Go Big or Go Home" with the maps I have? It doesn't have any progress bar for some reason! TIA!

Yes, you can do 'Go Big or Go Home' on just the maps you have installed and you only need to get all routes therein (so it is easier to get it with fewer states installed). As of v1.47 the Service Boat is also available on the route starting in Truckee, so you do not need to own Oregon to complete 'Big in America!'

Yes. We cannot see the progress, Its a pain, but check and complete all available routes one by one in your maps and you can take. I remember i had here something about 26 routes and i am completed one by one and all and in the last i taked the achievment.
