A question about trailer length
So I am going to buy a trailer now and there is an option for either 28 feet or 45 feet long trailers. Does the trailer length affect what jobs you can take or how much you earn from them? Or is it just cosmetic like the sleeper cabins?

The length affects the available volume for cargo. Longer trailer = more volume = more cargo capacity (disregarding weight limits) = higher payouts. It can also affect the type of cargo that can be carried depending on the trailer and cargo types.

you can use your own trailer for deliveries. just go to the cargo market. thre length is just cosmetic.

This is indeed the correct answer

So it does affect pay outs.... good! Thank you.

Also consider that the longer trailer will be heavier, I'm currently using Harven's Mack R-Series and it is struggling to get a 48-footer up to 55mph on anything other than a flat/downhill freeway (not complaining since I know that it's an old relatively underpowered truck but I like it), I'd hate to see it with a 53-footer or a double/triple.

Yeah, all good news imo. I was a little concerned the trailer length would not matter, wanted to make sure I was not simply making it harder for myself for picking a longer one.
Nice to hear the weights matter too.

If you take a freight market job and change the trailer with the gear-icon you can see the payout and weight change
