This has been talked about many times before. I'm guessing you are talking about the road through Yosemite. The story I've heard is that the road was created by someone training to make maps with SCS and it was such nice scenery that SCS decided to include it. There are signs telling you it's a non-commercial road, you don't have to blindly follow the GPS. Also, unless they've changed it since release, you don't HAVE to turn around. Last time I went that way, I just paid the fine and carried on.

Not so long ago, GPS were merely an advisor, not the pilot.

Before heading out on you run always, ALWAYS check the map for the best route. The GPS is just a adviser used mostly for cars so it will send you place where a truck can not go. Check the map and set your route first. In R/L truckers always checks the map before going anywhere....

The worst thing is a toll-bar preventing you from both entering and exiting Yosemite Park, and message asking to turn around while there is no place to turn around if you already stay in front of toll-bar.

yeah but how am i supposed to know where the road where you should go is on the map! You dont see a symbol or anything.

I think they should have added "No Trucks" sign icon, next to CA120 one, on the map and GPS

Drive and learn...this is, I think, the only instance of a no commercial traffic road on the map...now you know.

But there is plenty of room to drive around them. :steamhappy:

You dont have to blindly follow the GPS. Also you can drive around the toll bar at both tollbooths, that what i did on my trip from Oakland to Tonopah. The signs already tells you straight up that no commerical vehicles are allowed on the road through Yosemite.

Now that's not a bad idea.

I had the same experience on that CA120 road.
I’m calling it a rotten Easter Egg.
I managed to go around the gates but ended up with a Fine!
It should be on the map.

Not a rotten Easter egg lol That road is banned for truckers in game and in real life as stated in many posts on here. It is also the only road in both ATS and ETS2 that is illegal for a truck to use! Unlike real life where truckers have to know where they are going. If they are allowed there. In two games we have one raod lol and people complain and get confused. Every real life trucker is laughing right now. I personally think they should add more roads like that. If we had seasons then we could expect weight restrictions on loads all the fun stuff truckers have to deal with every day. Maybe even chaining up imagine that :steamhappy:

As stated above a new map maker got to build a road they added it to the game due to how beautiful a drive it is so it is your call ignore and never discover all the map or drive on through and pull a rubber duck :steamhappy:

edit: I have never seen a gps that shows you (truckers) if you are allowed to use a road or not. They just show routes to and not always the quickest either usually main highways.

the gps don't know if you are a bike, car or 18wheeler
thats the drives job to make sure you can use that road
eg it could of been a 2 way road now its a 1 way or my fav when it tells you to turn in the lake
point is the gps helps you but its the drives call if its safe to do
