Mexico
I have been using ATS for about a month. Could someone explain the mess that is Mexico on ATS? I have been searching for hours but I don't speak Spanish and all the discussions on this seem to be in Spanish, or way outdated. I have seen some people using a Mexico map (Viva? Extremo? Reforma? another?) that has the state of Chihuahua, the city of Juarez and other points south of Las Cruces, NM. I don't have these on mine. I thought I had the latest versions of C2C, Canada and Mexico, but maybe not. I wish someone would consolidate this mess, if possible. ATS forums and mod sites seem to be an organizational disaster everywhere I go for information. Much of it is terribly outdated. The Mexico map is awesome from what I've seen of it so far. However, I did hit a speed bump that was about four feet off the road. It is at the southbound Nogales border crossing if you pull over to the far right to the rest area by the border gates and park, then when you pull out of there, you hit these floating speed bumps and receive damage. Anyway, I was just kind of wondering what is up with all of these map combinations, which works, which does not, why, etc. if anyone has the time to answer. Thanks.

Do understand that mod makers may or may not pay much attention to this forum on Steam, which is, after all just a store front, but that they virtually always have a well maintained presence on the SCS forums that are maintained by the game's publisher. Other than a few facebook pages and the Team Reforma site, the SCS forums are often the only source for "from the horses mouth" information, with an entire subforum dedicated to maps.

You have to look on the original homepage of the mod for all important information, not on some thief site. The one for C2C is here, for example: https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=194&t=202317

At least on their forums you can click on a link to take you straight to the last post of a thread unlike Steam's pos software.
I just had to vent that.
Good luck Gryper.

On the https://forum.scssoft.com/index.php forum there is also a page that tells you what loading order for the map to be in. If they are not in the right loading order then the game will crash....Make sure you have the newest versions of the maps.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Just a note on the speed bumps; Rual & Eblem have a fix for that but it will not be coming until they do the West Texas/Chihuahua release which is their next map mod and removes the need to use Viva to connect to Extremo.

Right on. I was wondering if they already knew about that. Also I was wondering about Chihuahua. I found some of the roads down east of Mazatlan where the traffic is not centered in the lanes properly, but they've gotta know about that, I'm sure. Also, GPS navigation craziness down there.
