Logitech G920 wheel and brakes too hard *SOLVED*
Is the wheel supposed to be hard when turning? I followed an advice from someone who said that steering sensitivty should be all the the way to the right end while steering non-linearity zero.

I also have to press hard on brakes. Is there any way to make the brakes be more sensitive while I am pressing gently?

Brakes: There is a slider under "Gameplay Options" that will allow you to make the brakes more sensitive.

Wheel: If it only happens in the game (IE, it turns fine when nothing is running) then it sounds like the force feedback may be screwed up. You can change those settings under "Controler Options". If it happens all the time, you can adjust the sensitivity in the Logitech Gaming Software [support.logitech.com].

Is the forced feedback even mandatory? Can I play without it?

No it's not. There may be a box to turn it off, but if not you can just put the sliders as low as possible.

Edit: Just checked and there is a box you can uncheck to turn it off. It's right under the steering settings you changed earlier.

There are also sliders for steering stffness and centering force in the FFB area of options/controller, and both of them definitely affect how heavy the steering feels...

Thanks a lot! I tested FFB for steering and I really feel the difference. The wheel is much smoother now.

As for the brakes, the brake pedal on a G920 is Always hard to press. That's just the way the pedal is designed. No fiddling with the brake settings in game is gonna change that. It took me a while to get used to the G920 brake pedal.

There are videos on YouTube for setting up the force feedback using the Logitech Profiler and then fine adjuting the settings in the game to your precedence. Using the Profiler to lauch the game is the way I do it and it makes all the difference in the world.

How can I use the profiler to adjust settings? I dont remember which key is what...Can you recommend any videos?

You are better leaving the Logitech Control panel at default settings and using the in-game settings.

^^^^^ agree

The G920 (i own one) has a physical rubber stopper in the brake pedal, limiting the pedal travel to 50% at maximum. Increasing braking sensitivity will help.

I have fiddled with some settings and found a lot which made the gameplay a joy. Full automatic and some fiddling with forced feedback was the clue for me.

I also wonder why one would fiddle with settings in the Logitech client. The settings options in the game are more than good enough.
