Why do they bother listing a bunch of deliveries that take 36 hours to deliver but they only give you 5 hours to get there?

The 36 hours is actual time to get to the destination and the other is game time.
How many hours do you have on this?

Why are you looking at jobs originating from so far away? Waste of time dead-heading 5 hours to get a pick-up.

The deadhead is only a couple miles but the time remaining is like 6 hours for a trip that takes 30 hours.

I just wonder why they bother listing a bunch of jobs that are impossible to make it in time. They should just disappear once the delivery time is longer than the driving time.

Well, that "time to get there" is actually just the expiration timer for that job on the generated list. Jobs are constantly expiring and then being replaced with new; all over the map. ;)

No such thing. When you look at the listings, that's how long the job listing REMAINS for and not how long the trip left there is

Well, I see a job, I drive to pick up the trailer, say in Tuscon, and once the trailer is attached, it says 6 hours remaining.

Found a random image - notice how each job has 'offer expires' https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/255957580504526859/C018109047EE800E4F5471662B621D1871916431/ that's how long the job listing remains; not how long left of the trip there is.

When you take the job, you'll be given the remaining time by pressing F6.

No, you aren't providing enough information. With what information you have given, it implies you're misinterpreting the time remaining feature and job deadline feature.

Smart ass... lol, but it takes more than that to figure out ats unless you have ets2 experience although I thought the times were self explanatory.
