Issue with the Xbox One controller button mapping
I cannot map correctly the Xbox One controller (if I press the A buttons I get an F5, if I press X I get an M); that cause also interferences with the keyboard buttons that have the same name. Someone knows how to solve it? Thanks in advance!

I am not sure if this will help, but I have a thrustmaster XBox controler. The controler is set for keyboard and the game pad. In gameplay I had to set the trans for Sequential. And I asighned the Y to shift up, and the A to shift down. The B for the braking. and the left paddle to steer and the right finger lever to accelarate. I just tested it, and it is working. You have to play around with the settings to get it to work best for you. Just make sure nothing is sharing the same function or it will conflict..

Hope any of this helps..

Thanks for your reply, but my problem has nothing to do with that; I cannot configure properly my controller, from one day to another the button mapping is messed up, it doesn't even allow me to map the LT and RT triggers. I'm starting to think it could be a problem with the windows updates and not in the game settings.

Same issue here...when trying to assign buttons with the Xbox one controller they show up as completely different keys or do not map at all.

Did you disable the Steam Big Picture options?

Well I wasn't sure, I tried to give it a shot in the dark. I was hoping it would be something as easy as that.. Sometimes something in this regards could get over looked. Hope for the best for both of ya..

Appologies I am too lazy and tired to read the replies, but have you made sure the correct controller is selected from the drop down menu under "controls"?

As a last resort you can go into your Profiles folder and delete the main control.sii file and the one within the profile/*numbersletters* folder as well. Obviously doing that will delete all keybindings and controller setups and create default ones on next load.

I have only one controller.

Do you mean Documents\American Truck Simulator\steam_profiles\*numbersletters*? If I delete this folder, will l lose the game settings and the game progression as well?
I'll try this method this evening if I don't run the risk of losing anything else.

Just to let you know, I get the same problem with Euro Truck Simulator 2 too, but all the other games don't have this issue; for this reason I do not think it's a problem related specifically to ATS.

I tried deleting the whole folder, I still get the same issue.

Why did you delete the folder? I said delete the control.sii files. :|

I tried that as first and it didn't work, then I tried moving the profile folder temporarily to another destination; nothing has changed.

I use a Xbox360 wireless controller, Win10.

No issues at all.
