Dismissing Drivers
I am getting rid of a lot of drivers that i do not need i have plenty of money. My problem is i have 2 drivers whose truck is N/A brcause of it was messed up in a previous save. If i try to sell the N/A truck or dismiss the driver the game crashes. They keep on working and make money but no truck i can see the truck in their bio but don't know which one it is so hard to get it again for them any help would be appreciated.

Start a new profile. That solves your "too much money" problem as well. And then don't hire anyone.

You can also lower the economy with mods or console commands to make it more challenging.

As for the truck/crash issue, only option there is to reinstall the mod and sell the trucks, then remove the mod.

I will let that profile go and use a profile with me as the only driver. If i ever use drivers again the safe way will be to buy them a vanilla truck should solve the proble. That old profile was my original one owned all the garages and 115 drivers and over 63 million in money so time to start over a new chsllsnge.

I had 389 billion on my last profile before I decided to delete it.

The economy is way to easy. That said I don't really chance the income, for me these games are just about relaxing and driving so it's no big deal to me.

But you should really look into economy editing if you want a realistic challenge. I forget what Max said was the most realistic but I think it was in the region of 0.2

On a somewhat related topic then, aside from domiciling fleet drivers and their vehicles, what is the purpose of purchasing garages in far flung locations? I've yet to find another use for them.

Well the German event was a perfect example for having garages around the 'far flung corners'. The ability to teleport your own truck to garages around Europe, saves having to manually drive to start cargo from -whatever it was.. 15 different countries to or from Germany in WoT. Also I use them for -instead of quick jobs, using my own truck/multiple choice of trailers to do jobs for "variety" - again rather than manually traversing the map. I spend some time in one country/region then 'jump' to another of my garages to explore a region fully using your own truck without trailers, opening up unexplored roads, dealers etc.

Thank you, I never thought about the quick "jump" to another locale... good idea! I shall continue to "collect" them.

No problem. Sometimes we are our own 'worst enemy' and can't see the wood for the trees :cozybrawlhalla1: If you don't already know; select your truck from your truck manager menu, from the left, select, 'relocate' select your garage - make sure you have a free space first! Then select it's spot. Then got to bottom of screen and select driver management. Select -obviously- you. Then (remember) your garage with your own teleported truck , select your empty truck and that's you. Explore!

Some regions/roads are my favs , so if I put a garage near/ in it I can enjoy that area -write it down on a bit paper what you enjoyed about it. Then 'jump' to the garage and drive it. Use the garage as a 'bookmark' if you will

Fuel is also cheaper, but given the economy that's only really useful very early on unless you use ecomony mods.

I just use them as a 'safe' place to park if I need to rest.

the extra garage slots are also good for keeping your extra trucks that only you drive I got 4 garages and keep two slots in each for my own trucks and three slots for drivers

Alot of the far flung garages are close to the distributors that offer those long hauls, example from Oregon to southeast New Mexico. Those tend to be the most profitable runs for me, paying 80-120k a run.
