Its a common mistake, cause Bilt and Built sound alike, sure I am not the only one that has done it by accident

Yup, when Peter built the truck he needed a name for it. "Let's just call it Peterbuilt" Peter said. The guy who made up the ads and deco's mispelled it " Peterbilt" and so it remained. lol
