That is the problem. Don't click on the drive button. When you want to drive the truck relocate yourself using the Driver management screen to the other garage.
No problem. As far as chrome fading, I really don't think there is any feature in the game which would do that. Many players have requested dirt and weathering of trucks but that feature has not been added. So to answer your question, there isn't any way to do that but it could be a graphics issue as sometimes the chrome will go grey.
It happens mostly on mod trucks. Although sometimes the default trucks will do that too. I suppose it could also be to do with how good the computer you are using is because with my latest computer I hardly ever notice it. Anyway, it will be interesting to see other players comments because some people here are very knowledgeable.
