No, that would not fit the rythmic structure, four syllables where there's only room for 2

West Virginia??? At the rate of these DLC's we won't see the east coast until 2035.

j/k I might actually buy next sale really. Still have yet to explore Beyond the Baltic Sea expansion for ETS2.

Hopefully for next DLC ATS they give more than one state except Texas I can understand that one being a standalone.

I would buy it on the current sale. I play both ETS 2 and ATS. ETS 2 still being my most played one of the 2. But I am always impressed how much more detail ATS has in it. Even the newer DLC's in ETS 2 don't come close to ATS DLC's

The funny part about that song is that it was actually written about a drive through rural Maryland and the majority of the landmarks it mentions are much more closely related to Virginia, and not West Virginia.

There isn't a "perfect" place to start. Everyone will find something to complain about. What if they started in Texas, and decided to build westward first before going east? They picked 1 of the 4 corners of the country, and started building off that. My guess is they picked the corner that is the most iconic, and had the most changes in scenery to start building off of. They also started in an area that is the most different scenery wise from ETS 2.
changes in scenery?! texas has everything except mountains. and you get that 10 miles into arkansas where they have steep enough grades i have to drop a gear empty. this is why i said texas. california is nothing but a port for imports from asia. ive been to all 50 states and delivered to 48 (kept missing vermont.) and if you had to start a trucking game texas would be the choice.

CA is just hostile to truckers so i find it silly the game started here.

You have to remember this game is developed by Europeans, I think they believe that California is the paradise of America and everyone loves it. California hasn't been that since the 80's.

Except that doesn't hold either for ETS2. The game starts in the UK and even the demo. So why wasn't the UK the first place to be developed and updated? Instead it's 6 years + and waiting and everything over Europe has Been expanded and DLC added to. The U.K. Is still pathetic code and may as well be the 1960s it's so barren. :steamsad:

I have never used the demo in ETS2 so I have no idea where you start in that. However, why do you say the game starts in the U.K.? Not that it means much but the base game of ETS2 was from previous games and German Truck Simulator was released a tad earlier than U.K Truck Simulator. Also, you can choose to locate your starting garage in any city you like.

I totally agree, the U.K needs a major overhaul but at least now they are improving the base map and I suppose they started in Germany because it is a huge country and in the centre of the map.
