I would buy it on the current sale. I play both ETS 2 and ATS. ETS 2 still being my most played one of the 2. But I am always impressed how much more detail ATS has in it. Even the newer DLC's in ETS 2 don't come close to ATS DLC's
The funny part about that song is that it was actually written about a drive through rural Maryland and the majority of the landmarks it mentions are much more closely related to Virginia, and not West Virginia.
Except that doesn't hold either for ETS2. The game starts in the UK and even the demo. So why wasn't the UK the first place to be developed and updated? Instead it's 6 years + and waiting and everything over Europe has Been expanded and DLC added to. The U.K. Is still pathetic code and may as well be the 1960s it's so barren.
I have never used the demo in ETS2 so I have no idea where you start in that. However, why do you say the game starts in the U.K.? Not that it means much but the base game of ETS2 was from previous games and German Truck Simulator was released a tad earlier than U.K Truck Simulator. Also, you can choose to locate your starting garage in any city you like.
I totally agree, the U.K needs a major overhaul but at least now they are improving the base map and I suppose they started in Germany because it is a huge country and in the centre of the map.
