I've been OK with the site you mentioned. Only download .ZIP files.

THAT's where the ads are and where you can get into trouble.
I've been d'loading mods from ETS2 mod sites for years without a single problem. The second day i had ATS after release and still d'loaded from the same sites.

I got into mods about about a couple of months after ATS was released only because of the lack of content and I have never had problems. I made sure I read through the ETS2 forum and the ATS forum to learn all I could about mods, the best sites and how to manage them properly before I downloaded any. Add blocking, dismissing popups unrelated to the download and scanning has always worked for me and if I do download mods from sites other than the SCS forum it is Jazzycat site, atsmods.lt or modhub.us. There is another site I get mods from which you know as well. :) I know what mods I want and they are the ones I will get and I will avoid any pirated mod.
