Trailers restriction 53 feet in California
In the SCS blog, he says they have already strengthened the ban on trailers of 53 feet in California, but I took a Nevada load to California with a 53-foot cargo trailer and nothing happened, I in the balance and also nothing happened

Ps. I'm using the latest version of the game

Has anyone ever been fined or received any kind of rebuke?

53-footers ARE allowed in CA, you just need to have the trailer axles in the "forward" position in the trailer customizations.

and in my case, I use a trailer with 3 axles, have any restrictions?

The restriction is the length from the kingpin to the first axle. 53' trailers with both tandems to the rear exceed the allowed length. Axles forward, or multiple axles forward will not be restricted.

You are correct. I guess the game allowing triple axle 53s would be a mistake in that case.

heres a real world question that should be reflected in game. if you axles are slid all the way forward and u go thru a weigh station, wont that make you overweight on the trailer? or does the game only measure total weight?

Now we just need a feature to allow us to adjust the tandem position, other than spending money and going to a repair shop.

Real world, AXLE weight is what matters, not trailer weight.

i was a truck driver for 12 years, i know that. however i was simply trying to simplify itas the game doesnt go by axle weight

53s are allowed you just need to lock your tandems to the front. There is a rest area at Verdi just outside of Reno pull in there go into the service menu and slide your tandems up.

Irl speaking, it gives you less room to play with. If you are overweight on trailer tandem, you slide it rear. If you cannit die to law, you need the trailer charged perfectly. Assuming uniform weight distribution, anything rear of the axle will increase weight on the trailer axle exclusively, but also produce a lever effect which will lessen the load on the fifth wheel and increase it further rear.

Most companies that run 53 footer allow the mad weight but loaded on 48 feet of trailer not the whole 53. 2 axle drybox have to be considered a high low density volume hauler, not a heavy high density one

But in game it doesn't change anything. Neither being over 1000 pounds overweight the gross weight allowed of 80000 lbs will result in any kind of penalty

In-game, you can slide your tandems, but only when not on a job.

F7 > Trailer Adjustment

Edit: Didn't check the date. The Trailer Adjustment is only recently a feature.
