Oversize loads speed.?
I have Googeld and looked around a little. I want to know if oversize Loads (not speical transport)
have a speed limit. I run at the speed limit shown on the road side, but somtimes that seem's a little fast for the road. So i am thinking maybe top speed might 55 mph every state or different for different state's.
Cheers.

the law is not above nature's law of physics, I'd say ;-)
if you carry a lot of mass, you need to handle it accordingly.

That would be obvious, i was talking more about the law of the State.

Here is a thread talking about Oversize loads. It is a State by state basis in real life from what I gather and also your permit will state if there is a speed that you must go while hauling. Like for example this thread mentions Virginia https://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/threads/what-is-speed-limit-for-oversize-trucks-in-virginia.432216/ In this game no such thing exists and you will have to rely on your own judgement.

Thank you fender178.
I run around 55mph just seemed to be about right. Just wanted to feel a little more accurate.
I will stick to 55mph unless i am late :steammocking:

No matter what the posted speed limit is the driver is required to drive at a safe speed for conditions. If a load needs a slower speed for safety reasons then legally that is what you are required to do.

Got it BigT57.
I would think that a good driver would do that anyway.

Some states have seperate speed limits for trucks/heavy vehicles with 3 or more axles. If even if you're allowed to go 80 mph ... keep your eyes on the road. Just because it's not forbidden doesn't mean it's smart. Yellow speed signs usually indicate corners where you show go below the speed limit.
