G29, logitech shifter, 18 gears
So I have the G19 wheel and I'm looking at adding a shifter. I'm an 18 gear man and that aint gonna change.

So, who has this or a similar setup and how do you manage to get 18 gears from a 6 position shifter?

Sounds like the same as you would with 12 gears, you just have third range button.
You set 2 buttons either on the keyboard, or shifter if it has them (like the 27) to ranges.
I used to do this on the 27, but then I built my own SKRS shift knob, to do the same thing, in the actual way it's done in a rig. https://imgur.com/xgjFaYg

In Controls, set Shifter Layout to Eaton 18, set gears 1-6 on the Shifter Positions 1-6, set a Shifter Toggle 1 and 2. Then you just need an 18 speed trans and you can go through all 18.(16 foward, 2 reverse.

Dont I need 3 toggles? One to go to 7-12, one to go to 13-16, one to reset back to 1-6. Or I guess I could map to toggle up and toggle down, two buttons.

1-6 with no toggles > 7-12 with toggle 1, 13-16 with toggle 1+2. If I remember right. Been a while since I used 18 in ATS. Started using Real Automatic due to knee problems.

Lo - L+H ( L+H is lo and high range of each gear via splitter switch)
1- L+H
2 - L+H
3 - L+H
4 - L+H
Range Switch

5 - L+H
6 - L+H
7 - L+H
8 - L+H
That's 18 forward gears.

I forgot. 4 reverse gears 1 position and use the two toggles R1 L+H , R2 L+H
