Startup options

When i click on play I get an option selection page where you can choose to :-
Play ATS,
Launch with DirectX 11,
Launch with OpenGL,
Launch ATS in Safe Mode.

My understanding is that the latest version (which I have) will only run with DirectX 11, so my question is what does the option to "Play ATS" launch it with?

The first option will launch in whichever configuration was used last. So if you chose DX11 and the next time chose "Play", the game would load using DX11 again. The other options are given so that you aren't always dumped into a "default" requiring you to change the config manually in order to change.

If you have Steam running, you can right click the Steam icon near your clock (bottom right of screen) and then select ATS and that bypasses the DX11 popup windows.
It's still two mouse clicks to start the game though.

Make sure inside your American truck Simulator folder in config you have dx11

Changing the config for dx11 is not necessary and hasn't been for a long time. If you launch the game in DX11 mode, it will launch that way every time unless you change it.
