Best steering wheel?
Wnat is the best size steering wheel for driving in ATS, I am using a Thrustmaster TX base with a Ferrari GTE 458 wheel but find it too small

If you have or can find an old bicycle somewhere, take one wheel off it and fit it on the gte 458 wheel with some ducktape. Result, a bigger wheel! 😉

Yea that was really funny for a moron like you, but I was hoping for an adult to give me some good advice, I am thinking of a Sparco R383 wheel, but are wondering what the wheel is like, and if there are other larger wheels around to suit my Thrustmaster TX base
As a member of this fine community, I'd like to remind you that you should disagree with the content of a reply, rather than attack the person who made the reply. Lighten up a little. It's not the end of the world to have someone joke with you at an ungodly hour.

Personally I find wheels with a radius of 165mm+ to be the perfect size for ATS. As it happens, a bicycle tire from a kids bike would actually be near-perfect. Sand down the rubber until it's nice and smooth, cut the internals of the wheel out of wood and mount it on the stock of the Racing Wheel. Of course, going the DIY route probably isn't what you want. Pretty clear that you want a retail replacement for what you already have. Unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions. I'm more of a stock wheel man myself.

Think he is asking for the actual wheels that can be fit to a tx motor base, as those can be switched, not a whole wheel.

Tbh nothing official is wider afaik, so you'd need to start looking for 3rd party. Trucking sim as far as wheel manufacturer are concerned is pretty niche vs the racing games.
You're probably barking up the right tree thinking Sparco
https://www.amazon.com/ThrustMaster-Sparco-Steering-Playstation-Carbon/dp/B076HVX1QL?th=1

and even on ebay used
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Thrustmaster-Sparco-Rally-Wheel-Accesory-Add-On-R-383-Mod-4060085/254487664293?hash=item3b40a596a5:g:yxwAAOSwGldeJKL-

13" is a nice enough size for trucking, mostly the big wheels like that are popular among the oval track race crowd. As you noticed this is not the best place to ask your question. If you can get onto the iRacing or similar forums you can probably find alternatives, but I'd guess even buying a used bare wheel and tagging some button boxes onto it you'd be hard pressed to beat the ebay deal if you can get it near that price.

Thanks I knew that there had to be some adults on this forum, it looks like I will have to go with the Sparco R383 wheel with a diameter of 330mm for now.
Thtustmaster has been a disapointment, as I cannot under why they haven" brought out a direct drive wheel base, as I feel that is the way of the future in sim racing and ATS
you can mount a bigger mount no problem and even hook up buttons for it no problem.. you could even use it for years before you run into issues but you will in time find that the added weight is hard on the wheels internals. if you do go down that road make sure its a light weight rim. people do it so i know its possible, just dont throw any old rim on there thats all. im sure you know that though
I use the 300mm diameter F599XX EVO 30 Wheel Add-On Alcantara Edition on my T500RS, however i will include a 330mm Ferrari 250 GTO Vintage Wheel Add-On mainly for old school racing and ATS for the right feeling and switch between them depending on task the wheel is used for.
Had a G25 with its way to small wheel for years but the gears Logitech still uses drives me nuts over beltdriven and directdriven FFB. Gearshifter on G25/27/29/920 is just a plastic kidtoy compared to the TH8A.
