Can't hook up to double trailer because of placement
I'm trying to hook up to a double trailer at Chemso just outside of Portland but the game placed the front of the double too close to some concrete bollards so I can't back straight into the trailer, meaning I can't hook up to it.

Is there some kind of console command or something that I can use to teleport the trailer or auto attach it to my truck or do I have to ditch the job entirely?

Is it possible to back under the king pin from the side? There is no requirement that you must back straight into the trailers. ;)

I've tried to back into it from almost straight angles but the game won't take it so far, I guess I could try from farther off to the side though.

Here's a pic of the situation. http://tinypic.com/r/2hfp9n8/9

You should be able to couple those by lining up the point of the V on the fifth wheel to the kingpin of the lead trailer. This assumes the physics of the game to follow reality in that scenario.

Ended up getting the truck onto the other side of the trailer and tapped the front of the trailer until it was pushed over enough for me to pull straight into it and hook it up.

Still wondering if there was a better way though. I did such a few percentage points of damage to the trailer from love tapping it :P

Doesn't look all that impossible, but I guess you've tried. Disable advanced coupling (momentarily) ought to do it.

I have hooked up from the side in tight places a couple times . Just line it up as in real life . If your off backing up then you cant hook up.

The OP is clearly not a pro when it comes to connecting trailers. So rather than tell him how it's done perhaps a video would be more useful.

I'm not saying this was a perfect line up, connection, etc. But it gets the job done.

Considering I litterally got out of bed 5 minutes ago, I surprised I connected to the right trailer. :steammocking:

Why not just take the easy not going hit nothing way of turning left out of the building and going around. You were already lined up for that.
