Took a look at it, and it seems if there is an error with an AI vehicle in my game. Possibly came from a Jazzycat mod.
Need to take a deeper look at it. I love the vehicle variety from these mods...but it might not be worth the headache of maintaining them.
All of Jazzycats mods need to be updated after v1.32. With Jazzycat it's worth checking his website every few weeks to see if a new version is available.
A lot of other mods broke with v1.32 and need new versions to be downloaded.
Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. May just hold off on playing with mods for a while.

Even his traiers and cargo packs have been updated for 1.32.

Yes, and I have the updated AI Traffic pack. But the last item in the game log was a bad or missing hook for a Dodge Ram truck, and that comes from his mod. Not saying that this is necessarily the show stopper - i plan to test today without some trailer mods while leaving Jazzy stuff in, as his mods have never crashed my game - but I did not its the last error prior to the crash.
I also have reason to believe however, that based on game logs...the game believes my GPU has 2GB of ram...which is a far cry from the 8GB it actually has...which is odd.
Will give this a try, too. I also had a couple of trailer mods from Steam Workshop that I dont think were updated. CR England was one that gave errors. Its odd; the game does not show them as incompatible...but they also are not updated for 1.32 either.
For them to show as incompatible, the modder has to actually state which version it is compatible with and most of them are too lazy to do this.
Ahh...got it. That makes sense, being as statements of versioning and compatibility do seem like too much work for most ATS and ETS2 modders.
I mean, when I made mods for Fallout and Oblivion, I would ALWAYS state requirements, including game version and any required DLC. Its just common courtesy.
But then, this is a group who only post their mods on sites so infested with spyware and malware we need to script blockers just to obtain them safely, because those sites pay them nearly literally peanuts per download, so, yeah...I have come to expect to pretty minimal efforts in regards to a lot of aspects of mods in these games.
Which is a shame, since people like Jazzycat do GREAT work, as far as their in game content is concerned. His work is amazing. And he isnt the only one.
But then they drag it down by only offering it on sites they KNOW try to compromise gamer's PC's. Its really sort of insulting, to be honest.
<ERROR> [model] Unknown variant named 'hook' in model '/vehicle/ai/jeep_wrangler/ai.pmc'.
This error gave me a CTD. It was from a old gas station mod that had ai vehicles in it. Thought it might be a Jazzycat or stock at first. The mod is Real_Company_Mod___Gas_Stations. The mod works ok and no CTD since I deleted the Wrangler.
Easy mate. It behaved a bit like a memory leak. Thats all. Reminded me of the old Fallout 3 memory leak issue, in the way the crash occurred.
You know...I had Real American Gas Stations subscribed...and just noticed it has not been updated since 2016.
And now I think about it, both crashes were fairly close to gas stations.
Thanks for this, that is most likely the culprit.
Edit: Hate to say it, but...has to be the Jazzy traffic mod. Two CTD's right in the starting area this time, as soon as I approach a main road.
