Option to attach "WIDE LOAD" sign and warning flags at jobsite?
The new owned trailers are out, and it is a great thing. Some truckers though enjoy variety hauling, going from place to place picking up whatever pays best from the freight market going to whatever destination they want to see next.

Many times you may run a standard trailer and look silly with a WIDE LOAD sign on the front of your truck and red warning flags on each fender, so you remove them. If your next load however happens to be a milling machine on ther back of a lowboy that rerquires you to have a WIDE LOAD sign on your truck as well as warning flags, you masy not be in a town with a repair facility to put them on.

Is there any chance we could get binadable keys to put on the WIDE LOAD front placard and fender warning flags (if you own them) on the job site like you would in real life?

Or, if anyone knows of a mod that can do that, would you let me know.

SCS very rarely even acknowledge 'good suggestions'. Remember when special transports (ETS) used to get stuck on inclines on the road? Motorway slip roads - it would hit the bottom of the trailer or any object that was just higher, crash barriers etc. I suggested that (real life) special trailers can and do raise their suspension to navigate 'street furniture'. It would be a brilliant REAL feature. Nothing seems to be praised or acknowledged. Such is the above request, ongoing, ongoing.. Just peters out. I'm not angry, just disappointed. We have a great community full of good ideas and personally I wish SCS could even have a timeline of forthcoming features and ask for input or tweeks. As a driver that has toured for nearly 30 years, I used to use a map - like anyone, but now we have sat nav's and voice command, I haven't a clue were petrol stations are or b&b's, but I can just tap or voice my sat nav and voila a route is generated to the above. Again I suggested these as features in both games, to enable/encourage realistic driving. You do NOT press a button in your car and it stops instantly- presenting a map. Such simple requests or suggestions to make the games more immersive than ever and bring them into the modern world of real and simulation. Take detours, again you would generate that as we already do, even going to work in the morning and a main route gets blocked due to daily crashes.
Anyway, I doubt any of it will ever appear. Great to be proved wrong and again the game is sold on steam so SCS should be active here. Putting multiple posts on both sites is partly why we're in this mess. Mods and workshop is here not on SCS official forum. Stress or what....

I know this doesn't cover every job, but when you pick up a special transport you get that short little animation scene and boom...the trailer is hooked up and your rig is facing towards the exit. So if they can do that, why not make it an option when you accept the contract to ask if you wish to install the flags and banners. The coding would then look and see if you had purchased the equipment for this truck and install them.

An alternative would be to ask when accepting a special delivery contract if you wish to rent a "wide load" package that comes with banner, flags, beacons and a milk shake (to drink while you wait the four hours for them to hook the trailer up). Maybe charge more money for the convienance. You'll end up loosing it anyway if you ever take them off, so why not rent them.
When you drop the load off (at the...) job site the rented equipment is returned and you are free to pick up normal loads and not look like a Broadway showgirl going into Wal-Mart.
