Option to attach "WIDE LOAD" sign and warning flags at jobsite?
The new owned trailers are out, and it is a great thing. Some truckers though enjoy variety hauling, going from place to place picking up whatever pays best from the freight market going to whatever destination they want to see next.

Many times you may run a standard trailer and look silly with a WIDE LOAD sign on the front of your truck and red warning flags on each fender, so you remove them. If your next load however happens to be a milling machine on ther back of a lowboy that rerquires you to have a WIDE LOAD sign on your truck as well as warning flags, you masy not be in a town with a repair facility to put them on.

Is there any chance we could get binadable keys to put on the WIDE LOAD front placard and fender warning flags (if you own them) on the job site like you would in real life?

Or, if anyone knows of a mod that can do that, would you let me know.

This would indeed be a great feature to add.

I really like this idea. Most of these are carried in a sidebox on the truck when not in use.

The idea is sound, but there is a minor problem, at least when it comes to the oversized load banner that goes on the truck. On many of my trucks, I like to run with a bullbar because I like the aesthetic of it. However, if I recall, only the W900 can you put a bullbar and an oversized banner at the same time. The other 3 trucks, you're not able to do this which doesn't make a lot of sense to me. So, if you have a bullbar, what would the game do? Sell those parts or something? Right now, I don't believe there's any mechanism in the game currently to "store" your parts in the garage or something like you can with trailers.

For the trailers though, yeah I'd be fine with that.

@Twinshadow in case of a bullbar preventing the banner only the red flags would become active.

Fixed it

We've been asking for this since ETS2 got ST DLC.

All it would need is a one time purhcase of the items and then tie it into the F4 menu or do it automatically.

For ATS it would require SCS to sort out the issue with bullbars though. No reason they can't I have a set of bullbars in the work shop that have it on.

^This here. A lot of us have been asking for that feature for a LONG time. They could make it a simple switch like lights or something. Needing to drive to a garage and buy it every time is ridiculous.

As far as bull bars go, they could make it easy and just make it work on trucks that have no bull bars.

It's been needed for a while, but I think even more so with the new trailer ownership.

One time purchase of items would also be nice. Maybe a warehouse like used in Car Mechanic simulator. With the rain turned way up and driving in Oregon so much lately I removed my sunvisor, but now I'll have to buy it again if I head back down to the lower 4 and turn the rain to a more moderate level.

It should not let you haul a load with out the flags and banner as i believe it is required in real life, it's lame to have them on all the time when hauling normal sized loads, which would not be allowed in real life, wish this was addressed

you make plenty of money buy two trailers one set up for wide loads and one for normal sized loads and swap trailers when you need to

Excellent idea! :104: The current situation demotivates me to do more heavy hauls or special transports.
