Simple Automatic
I am using the g27 for ATS and I also using simple automatic how do I reverse? I pushed down then went to the far right but it just makes me go forwards still.

Try real automatic, simple is really simple.

simple automatic is throttle to go forward and then stop, and then the press the brake to go backwards.

As the Wille said. Press the brake pedal until full stop - 0 MPH. Then release brake pedal and press it again. It will be automatically switched to reverse. Then the brake pedal act as gas pedal in forward drive - more you press it, faster you reverse. If you want to stop, press gas pedal until full stop. Then you can go forward. Hope it'll help you

For the better understanding - if you set your setting as Simple Automatic, you needn't use your H-shifter at all. Which is shame in my opinion, but it's your choice :)

I'm with Trucker_71, go with Real Automatic as it is actually "simpler" to use, as it makes "simple" sense to use the gas to move and the brake to stop...you do have to assign keys or buttons to handle the forward reverse shifting, but that's not too much effort for the payoff in pedal usage.

I have an old Mommo wheel that comes with a simple forward & backward shifter so I use the real automatic, when I need to go up or down in gears manually I have a button assigned to change to sequential shifting. In automatic mode, I can downshift to neautral and then once more to reverse. Sometimes the Automatic doesn't stay in the gear I want it to cruise in, so I'll switch to sequential and shift up or down to the gear I want.
I have a set of rudder pedals I used for MS Flightsim that work as gas & brake. This setup works quite well for me. ;-)

Use real automatic if you actually want to put it in forward or reverse yourself.

I agree, but if you realy wanted to go all in, you could use the H-Shifter w/ Clutch that comes with the G27 to get the most realistic play style.
