GPS steered me wrong
I played a bit before bed, got my load, followed the directions, took the right as the GPS wanted and passed through two towns. Only one problem, when I got to the gas station of the 2nd town, the GPS told me to make a U turn through the gas station parking lot and to go back the way I came.

Thinking I passed my stop I did so, just for the GPS to tell me to drive all the way back through the two towns, pass the intersection it told me to turn right at by the building I got my load from, and then to continue through the next town till getting to my destination. Needless to say, my urgent delivery was late lol.

Lesson learned for next time:

The GPS hates me, sell the truck with the GPS; get new truck, check the map before following the GPS directions.

The GPS is sometimes wrong, but not that wrong. Did you check the map and mistakenly put a pin somewhere ?

I'm getting that too. Cutting through gas stations, passing my turn like many of the AI are, as well, only to make a U-turn miles down the road.

I've seen it once or twice but I always check my route and the time left for the delivery incase I want to change my route up. That way I can correct any issues like that, maybe take a road I haven't gone down yet to "clear" it on the map, open up a dealership, buy a garage or whatever. I also frequently edit the routes when I am taking an oversize load as those trailers can be difficult to manuver through some intersections and through gates. For example, if I am taking a Heavy Haul load and the GPS wants me to turn right into the gate of where I am supposed to deliver, if I can, I will set the GPS to go around the block and come from the other direction to the gate. This way I am making a left turn into the gate with the extra lane to cross making the turn a lot easier. Not such a big deal when delivering to a farm or mine outside the cities, but it's a big help in the tight confines of the city streets. It's also helpful to plan out a route that puts you near a rest area when taking a long distance route.

Always check you route on the map before driving and set your rout yourself. This way you can avoid the stupid GPS mistakes....

No I think it was just a glitch. I know where it happened so I may try another load to see if it a reoccurring glitch. I been picking drops in Oregon that I haven’t drove to yet and just letting GPS guide me.

Other then that I figured it was a funny glitch to have happened. It no big deal for me as I have more in game cash built up then I need.

It happened to me too on my first mission, instead of going straight 1km to destination it wanted me to go on a 1.5hr trip on the highway and then back:

I've gotten a few like that, as well. Be going down the highway per the GPS then, I'm having to drive past my turn to go 65-70 miles then, make a U-turn at the next exit, only to turn around and get back on the highway just to drive back to the exit I should have taken in the first place. The dumb thing about it is, I see several AI, both trucks and cars, doing the same thing. 100-150 miles out of the way.
