Some kind of rubberbanding effect / performance issue since 1.32
Hi guys,
Since 1.32 update I experience some kind of performance issues I never had before. It’s a bit like a rubber band effect / lag in rare situation but it’s annoying as before it was running buttery smooth. I have a i7 8700K and a 1080ti and game on SSD. So it should not do that. Anybody else is experiencing this ? Or any advice of the cause of the problem ?
Thanks for your help

This is happening on single player?
The reason I ask is that this kind of thing is common in online games when there is a large ping involved, plus, you didn't mention whether or not this is happening on multiplayer or single player.

What happens if you adjust the warp command in console? Try setting it to 0.85 or 1.15.

Are you using reshade or sweetfx?
I've had an issue like that with reshade before.

No reshade or sweetfx, maybe it’s the mod for police and flashing lights enhancement?

Best way to find out is to disable all mods. Check if game runs fine, then try all mods on their own. If all work on their own, there is some interaction going on and you should add mod after mod to see exactly when the issue appears.

I’ll try it and tell you if I found the issue thanks for your help :)

Just tried ETS2 and I have the same problem even if it’s a bit less often it’s also there. I’ll try to deactivate the mods but I doubt it will be the problem. Will keep you posted

Nice hint there, if both games have the same issue, it may not be related to mods but instead either to games' engine or to your rig.

Speaking of which, it is without a doubt top of the line but maybe this is the reason for rubberbanding. Do you have V-Sync enabled? If not, do it either in game or preferably in Nvidia Control Center. This forces a synchronization between your GPU's ouput rate and your monitor's refresh rate.
Additionally, I recommend using aforementioned means in conjunction with Riva Tuner Statistics Server, which has a framerate limiter to double as a frametime limiter. Set global framerate to your monitor's refresh rate, and you should be golden.

What these two tools do: Nvidia Control Center makes the GPU spit out only as much images per second as your monitor can show and RTSS evens their duration. More on this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yeROJQR_qE

Quite the hassle to set up but I found it to improve gaming experience in GTA V, R6S, AC4, BF1, ME:A, just to name a few recent titles.

I don't think this is it, I'm running that mod right now and mine is working fine...

Thanks for the tip. I’m running both games with v sync on and really before the update it was running perfectly so I don’t understand what’s the problem. Or did they changed so much things that it can not run smooth anymore ? And my rig is very good so it should run it without any issue
