The Best garage location for the one driver
I looking for the new garage for myself. I don't want to hire any NPC drivers. I have one garage in San Francisco already. But it is not good placed: gas station is far away, and service station too. And I want to make my base in the center of the map (with Oregon including). So I can't to choose. Las Vegas or Bakersfield. Any advice? What is the best one?

Doesn't matter. Use gas and repair places on your trips.

Los Angeles is better. The fuel on the corner nearby and the repair shop is down the main road. Also San Diego is another place. Oh but you want in the center of the map..Phoenix is another place. I can go on and on...Flagstaff is another. Fresno is another good place to have your headquarter at

I'm currently headquartered in Roswell, NM...

It's really up to you where you want to 'hang your hat' so to speak...

If you want to be centered, Bakersfield is a prime spot because you are right next to CA-99, with I-5 just beyond that to open up the entirety of California and then Oregon, while CA-58 connects to places east via Barstow and I-15 / I-10. Nevada is also not far away, either via Fresno or Vegas.

It doesn't matter one bit. There is no reason you would ever go to your garage except to change tractors, or I guess now trailers?

I actually have one garage that serves no other purpose but to house my favorite trucks/vehicles.., and of course, matching trailors now...

I like Vegas.

I made a new profile for 1.32 that only has a garage in Sacramento, CA. Got several trailers that I swap between and a hanful of trucks to pull them with. It's got a decent layout and is relatively close to major points in CA. Also north enough to be about a 15-20 minute 55mph drive to Oregon when it comes out.

You can always upgrade any of your garages to the largest one which will spawn a gas station so you can easily refuel your truck at any time at your garage

I always choose Elko as my main garage whenever I start a new profile and I always select Peterbilt as my preferred truck. The garage is located in a very good position in a short street with it's own traffic lights and there are plenty of jobs. There is a Kenworth dealership with a repair shop not far away located on an easily accessed road and because I choose Peterbilt as my preferred truck when I take my second job I alter the route to drive past the Kenworth dealership which opens both dealerships.

I then continue to have Elko as my main garage even if I buy all other garages because I just do a delivery to a location and then take a delivery from that location and continue to do the same thing and only return to Elko when a job takes me there. As mentioned earlier you can use gas stations and repair shops on route.

I just like Elko and love desert! :)

You have a gas station at any of your owned garages.

As others have said here, it really doesnt matter all that much where your garage is, but I have found a few that I really like. I'll list my favorite in each state.
Sacramento
Elko
Tucson
Santa Fe

Each of these is located in a farly convenient and strategic place, but is also not a major city. I think as the states progress, I will be maintaining one garage in each state with the above covering the current map.

As long as it is upgraded to Large. Not much of a big deal anyway, you do save like 10% on fuel as if that could matter :steamhappy:

Well, if you were running realistic fuel prices along side a realism mod, then it might make a difference...
