XBox 360 Controller not working properly.
Installed and played the game the other day, turned off my computer, went to play today and I cannot look about the cabin of my truck, all other controls work and when using an exterior camera I can pan it around with the right stick, but as I stated, I cannot use it tolook about the cabin. Ran the set-up wizard again, no dice.

It happens to me on three different computers (all Win10), fresh install, new profile, no mods, wired XBox 360 controller or XB1 conroller via USB or wired XB1 compatible controller.

After the first start I can configure RS to look around in the cabin.
The second start RS is no longer assigned to the horizontal and vertical view.
When I assign RS again to the the horizontal and vertical view, I still can`t look around in the cabin - but it`s no problem in an external view.

And every time I start ATS or ETS2 again the problem repeats.

I tried to write protect both config files in the ATS and ETS2 folders after configuring the controls after the first start but it won`t help!

noticed it too so no longer setting controller to my specs just use set up wizard after logging in every time annoying I know but pretty minor considering other things that could be happening. Warning though set up wizard doesn't add turn signals to controller or damn cruise controll so still need keyboard to hit c for cruise turn signals I don't know so just don't turn right at redlights lol. The bears won't ticket you for no signaling b4 lane changes.

This is a solid guide.
Thank you, remember to uncheck everything at the Big Picture Mode, you will be fine.

It's not that it's "forgetting" the control binding (it is doing that too) but it just outright doesn't work, even after I set the binding again.

I am using an Xbox controller but with Win7, haven't had this problem yet. I'm also using Controller Companion (I think it's $5 here on Steam) which lets me set up combo buttons (select + other button) so I can easily add cruise control and speed adjustments to the controller.

Even if you don't use all the fancy extra options, maybe Controller Companion would fix the issue you're having with forgotten bindings? It detects and sets your button bindings by game, so it seems like it would resolve whatever is going on for you.

(btw, no.. I am not an affiliate for Controller Companion, it's just a great and cheap utility that made my trucking controls much better with my Xbox controller)

Edit - it's actually only $2.99

Joy to key is shareware/free to use. It allows you to assign a keyboard command to a gamepad. https://joytokey.net/en/

I have used it before when the game doesnt support a gamepad. Its easy to use.
