Setup mistake
My name s a John and I'm relatively new at this. My problem is I initially was using American truck simulator with a mouse and keyboard and decided to get a steering wheel to enjoy it more. During the set up I was prompted to use the mouse to access the menus in game or use the steering wheel ,which is a T150. I wanted to select to use the mouse but I accidentally chose the wrong option which was to use the steering wheel. I cannot access anything with the steering wheel now that I have selected it and when I try and use the mouse it just constantly drifts to the bottom of the screen and I cannot use it. So therefore my question is how do I reset it so I can select mouse instead of wheel for accessing menus in game.I will need a fairly detailed explanation on how as I said earlier I am new to computers And VR. Thanks in advance for anyone's help

Make sure to shut down ATS first!

Unplug your wheel and then startup ATS.
Make sure it is set back to Mouse + Keyboard.
Plug your controller in and see if ATS picks it up, if it does, run the setup wizard and this time, pay attention... lol

Normally, I recommend plugging your wheel in before starting ATS, but in this case, you do not want it loading your old settings and putting you right back where you were, so we're 'fudging' a little here.

Delete the controls.sii file from your Documents/ATS/profiles folder. If more than one make sure you choose the right folder.

Setup should be Keyboard + Thrustmaster T150. Make sure the wheel is connected before you launch the game. I do not recommend using the wizard to set the wheel up in game.

With this above you will still use your mouse to access the in game menus.

At anytime you can access the control menus again from clicking options >> controls.

The easiest way is to go to the Controls options and scroll down until you find Alternate mouse cursor controller and under that will be Controller selection, select Reset.
