Another simple, calm, serafic question... does Euro Truck Simulator 2 work the same way?
Also is it a single file that you can backup on google drive for example?
Never thought I had to manually backup a savefile folder in friggin 2018... guess I'm done with these games, no way I'm going to play them all from scratch after all the time and resources I've spent. What a shame.
It's in your documents American truck simulator
PS. You can use a mod to boost your XP and money in a glimpse.

Since the game updated to 1.32 I and the economy was changed with that update I don't know if the mod still works but you can try it and see. If it works I suggest you use the quick jobs and choose the lesser amounts as some of these mods give ridiculous amounts of money and xp.
Anyway, it is an option for you instead of throwing in the towel. I never mind starting over again and do it farily often, by choice I might add. However, I understand you are a bit upset at the moment.
Remember to always backup your data guys. I deleted the game from my PC, removed the upcoming DLCs from my wishlist and, for me, it's the end of the SCS road.
Wow.
Just wow.
So, where/when was the announcement that all games made currently are supposed to have online backup? Because in my experience, thiat is few and far between, it's not like you're playing an MMO. Also, every time I've got a new PC, I've always used the old HD as a backup... and with current tech, it doesn't take much to install it into an open internal bay, or convert the internal HD to an external one then hook it up to your USB port.
Bunch of complaining over nothing. Guess you're done with almost all games, including STEAM games. Just stick with the MMOs.
I respect that you never use mods. However, giving up on the game because you lost your progress, really?! Not into games then or just never really liked playing ATS?
I lost my progress in ETS2 years ago because I changed my computer. I didn't spit the dummy and throw in the towel. I just started all over again and back then I never used any mods as well. If you genuinely enjoy playing a game who cares about progress, you fall flat on your face and you pick yourself up and start over again. If that is just too hard for you, then adios!
I have started over on other profiles about 5 times now. Bought the game on Thanksgiving Day 2016. When I have done this I have always found something that I had missed before during my travels.
