Ah yes, I need to buy $300 or whatever in DLC for the TRUE American truck sim... Nothing really makes a game a game like literally cutting your game apart to gouge the customer base.
Which obviously means this method of game development is an issue. And I mean, let's not forget the fact that ETS2 is a more complete experience even without it's few expansion DLCs.
Not as riediculous as making a sim game of trucking in America and then selling 45 of the states as DLC.
It also requires a customer base to buy the DLC, keep reaching for their wallet and watch as people willing to buy drops off.
Where's my next free house? free car? free sandwich? I deserve stuff free cuz reasons.
You don't have to buy the DLC, that is a choice, but SCS will keep making them so long as there are those of us who wish to 'expand' our experience with the game...
Reallly a shame since it's rarely based in reality, and rarely has any proof from the developer side, just selfish palyer whining.
Paid for a game that advertised trucking around the entirety of America, didn't expect that when they advertised that, that each piece was gonna cost.
I mean, I'm sure when you buy a car, you don't expect that it's only the chasis that you're buying right?
Nah, people like me are upset that game devs are advertising one thing and trying to sell you the entire experience piece by bloody piece because they think that anyone that plays games needs to be gouged for all they're worth.
Here's the future of this dev if they really wanna charge for every single piece: https://store.steampowered.com/app/24010/Train_Simulator/
