behind walls and fences where you can't run over them.
Or if they do cross the road make them cross far enough in the distance that you can't possibly reach them in time, you just see them in the headlights far enough away.
That's pretty much what they are adding in Oregon, deer on the side of the road on more rural roads. But I think it would be neat to have a modder create random events where you have deer crossing the road or sitting on the side of the road. No blood needs to be added, just have the deer topple over similar to how Jazzycat's motorcycles topple over when you collide into them. And you obviously would take damage from the hit. I mean just seeing them on the side of the road would be enough but I think an animal crossing random event would be a nice touch as that's a very real threat to truck drivers especially at night on rural roads.
Would be great to bring the world to life abit more, shame they cant approach someone like the hunter and use there animals somehow, shame game companys cant share resources more
I agree with this. There are other more truck-based improvements I'd rather see before animals become a priority. I'd like to see wildlife out in the parts where they can't get hit, but it's not something I think would make the game much better given the frame rate hit. I already have to squint like Squinty McSquintlock just to read the tiny roadsigns, an animal would be a distraction when it's important to concentrate on the road.
