http://blog.scssoft.com/2016/12/ats-world-rescale-is-released-in-update.html
you make a good point, i live on the east coast and i hope they keep my interest long enough for me to be able to play it whilst they develop over toward the mid west and later on the east coast, almost makes me wonder if theyre going to have to scale up as the states get smaller as they move further east?
The rescale was back in November 2016 I believe going to 1.20 from 1.35 as California was majorly overhauled in places. It's crazy to remember we used to play this game with only two states and the 1.35 scale.
If they want to balance work required and value they could either split TX or have it uniquely be rather more expensive, as for the dinky east coast states I'd guess at bundles of 2-3 for the smaller ones perhaps. Cutting the prices would work in theory too, but there's possibly a risk of poor perceived value when people are by that time used to each map add-on gaining them a reasonably large chunk of extra route miles.
Well I expect we'll see all continous US states at a rate of 2-4 releases a year, since the plan is supposedly to start working on 2 states simultaneously once they get Oregon out the door. After that probably Canada and Alaska, then South to Mexico assumingly the game hasn't died/been completely usurped by something else at that stage and it's still financially worthwhile SCS making maps, after all it's American Truck Sim not US truck sim so there's no reason they can't eventually do the entirety of North America. If we do get to the stage (quite a few) years down the line where all of NA is ingame and the genre remains popular I guess it'd be time for a whole new engine and do ETS3 :)
