Just to add, you can also do that in the Wizard.
But uh, go onto the Logitech Support Forum, make a ticket and see what troubleshooting steps they have for you. If this is an ATS only issue and does not happen in other games, then state that please.
Another thing, open the Game Controllers window > Properties on the G920 and see if a light comes on when you put it into 6th and again when you put it into reverse. Let's try narrowing down the problem this way.

@Willy.J.K I tried that initially, then i saw in a YT video a how to set up a H-Shifter (same model as mine) and they used the wizard, so i tried that out and was able to see on its graphic layout of stick an input signal denoting which gear i put it in. It seems and feels like there is no reverse gear and 6th gear is being used by the game as reverse.
@ReesesCup, its a G920 wheel, but i guess advice is still valid. My Logitech configurer program seems to crash all the time lately. Didnt before. I did try to see if that could give me some info on possible problem. I cannot put it in 6th it seems to go from 5th to reverse instead of 6th or from N to 6 it goes into reverse.
I will try the logitech forums as well.
The shifter internals, baring the lack of buttons, is the same on the G27 and G29/G920.
I brought this wheel in last year in Dec mainly for sim racing and didnt use the H-Shifter its been in its box since. I haven't opened it up. Hopefully i can get to the bottom of this, in the meantime i could use a wheel button for reverse perhaps as a workaround.
As for the usb port, i am using the usb port in the front of my tower thinking they are prob usb2? but i will try the port in the back tomorrow and see if that makes any difference. Also will try and re-download the logitech settings app as it tends to crash very easily, if i can get it to run it might shed some light on the prob perhaps.
In the meantime i will try out that Eaton Fuller Shift layout too.
I will update progress later. Cheers.
Okay i got it now, i miss understood you when you said press down. I had to watch a video, then realised you need to literally push downwards, when you had said push down i was thinking moving gear stick down towards me (not downwards to the floor).
The instructions with the shifter didnt seem to mention this important little detail.
So i got it working :) cool bananas. Hopefully this thread will be helpful for others who get caught out as well. Thanks everyone for your input and help.
