Resolution issues
So, my monitor says that game launches in 1920x1080 (my monitor is 1680x1050), but it's very weird. When I try to change the resolution nothing happens. Is there anything i could do?

Does it fit the screen though? Are you running the game in windowed mode or fullscreen?

The game runs in fullscreen and the resolution doesn't fit the screen. I tried to change to windowed in options, but still nothing.

Are you hitting apply at the bottom after you change the resolution?
My monitor is 1680x1050 too and it is working for me.

Make sure your desktop resolution is set to 1680x1050, too. Additionally, Windows' built-in fullscreen optimization might interfere. Go to ~\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\American Truck Simulator\bin\win_x64, right-click on amtrucks, select properties, navigate to compatibility tab and check the box which deactivates fullscreen optimization.

Don't know if this will have any affect, but go to C:\Users\[your username]\Documents\American Truck Simulator and look for config.cfg.

Hit Ctrl+F and type "uset r_mode". It should look like this:
uset r_mode_refresh "0"
uset r_mode_height "1080"
uset r_mode_width "1920"

Don't worry about refresh, but take note of what the height and width values are. If height isn't 1050 and width 1680, change them to that and save. Try booting up the game.

It is already set like that.

I couldn't check that box if it actually was the correct one.

Did you change the numbers to 1080 and 1920 or to 1050 and 1680?

Yes, I changed the numbers and then changed them again. I noticed that said issue also occurs in CS:GO. I'm getting quite furious seeing that whenever something is updated, something falls apart.

Hi. Did you manage to solve it? I have the same issue.

I know this is necro'ing and sorry for it. But I came here too asking the same question like Ares above. I was able to fix it by quitting out of the game then going into:

C:\Users\[your username]\Documents\American Truck Simulator and look for config.cfg.

Change your uset r modes to the following
uset r_mode_height "height you want"
uset r_mode_width "width you want"

and when you load up the game it should work. Its as though the game doesnt want to do it while setting it in-game. So pre-setting it before loading the game should be the fix.
