Well... I don't have an exact answer for you, but there are a couple of things you could try. One, would be to simply go to your Graphics Options and up your Brightness settings, this would obviously make the outside brighter as well. Two, you could try a graphics mod like "Realistic Graphics or Filmic Lightning" and see if that helps at all. Finally, you could try switching out your interior in the truck customization screen. I drive a Pete 579 and after a certain level (as you may already know) you get the option to upgrade your interior and for the 579 the upgrade is like a mahagony color as opposed to the default black you start with, which might help.
