Why not a GeForce 1080 Ti?

Edit: Get a GTX 1060 if you're on a budget. Or a 1050 if you're poor.

btw, I don't mean poor in any deragatory sense. Not everyone can toss hundreds of dollars into a video card at any given time.

Almost anything is better than Integrated Graphics. A simple "cheap" GPU is the Nvidia GTX 1050. Watch for GPU inflation due to Cryptocurrency mining though. Ill try to link one in a sec
https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Support-Graphics-02G-P4-6150-KR/dp/B01M9FD3PC/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1517885934&sr=1-5&keywords=GTX+1050&dpID=513kShn8SuL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch
This is the card I have, and it works very well for me. I would suggest waiting to see if prices drop a little before buying any GPU right now, unless money is not an issue for you, and if that is so, you could jjust get anyting really. This card normally should be around 110-125 dollars, so prices are inflated, and could go down sometime soon hopefully.

I'm getting 50-60 FPS in ATS on high/ultra settings running a GTX 1050 Ti paired with an i5-7600K.

Due to the current cryptocurrency mining situation you will probably be hard-pressed to find a good deal on a GPU right now. My personal opinion is that the nVidia GTX 1050 or GTX 1050ti are probably the best-value NEW cards on the market since they don't tend to be affected by price-gouging as much as other GPUs. They should be able to run ATS/ETS2 at 1080p 60 FPS at medium-high settings with some FPS drops in cities, which is largely due to the CPU-bound nature of the AI traffic I suspect.

However, the following choices would let you *almost* max the game 1080p at 60 FPS i.e. max settings but scaling set at 300% instead of 400% without much if any GPU bottleneck, however, like almost everyone else you will still have CPU bottleneck in certain areas of the game e.g. cities during "rush hour" with lots of AI traffic.

AMD: RX 570 or RX 580

nVidia: GTX 1060 3gb or 6gb

In my personal opinion any higher-tier GPUs would not necesssarily be recommended to pair with that CPU unless you happened to luck out on a ridiculously good once-in-a-lifetime deal.

If you are OK with lowering some settings to avoid GPU bottleneck an nVidia GTX 1050 or 1050ti would be sufficient. If you want to buy an older card I'd recommend an AMD RX 480 or nVidia GTX 970 or GTX 980.

All that said I have an nVidia GTX 960 2gb and run medium-high at 200% scaling and the game looks and runs great.

Good advice above. I should also mention that I'm using a GeForce GTX 660 Ti (i7-4770K CPU) with all settings on max and 300% scaling, 1080 with v-sync, and am getting 60 fps in most places. My 660 Ti is only slightly overclocked, I just have smart mods and settings with everything tweaked for the best framerate possible.

I also have a GTX 960 2 GB and it runs 1080p/60fps. Though if you're going to get a new one might as well get a 10xx+ like others have said I guess, the 960 is already a few years old and will probably start seeing a lot more limitations very soon. But I got it from Amazon on a Christmas sale for like $105 so it was a nice deal back then.

and this gtx 1050 will work with my pc?

You can go to pcpartpicker.com and fill in the components you have. When you try to add a 1050 it should tell you if it's compatible.

Im using a msi 1070 gaming x with a intel 8700k cpu and it plays ATS very well.
Having come from amd 8370 cpu the difference is huge for me..
a 1050 should serve you well.
