Is it normal for people to beat their trucks to death?
I did a job from Eureka to Clovis with a fresh truck and by the end I had incurred 6% damage through wear and tear and did 4 weigh stations en route. It would have been an utter pain if I had to stop off at Bakersfield, Kingman, Phoenix and Gallup with a heavy haul trailer just to swerve any potential fines with the most unrealistic of game mechanics where trucks can be repaired instantly.
Weigh Stations are nothing more than a minor inclusion for a little more immersion on how trucking works in the US. ATS is a more semi-realistic simulator that prides on enjoyment more than pinpoint real life accuarcy.
My tires and body seem to wear at 1% per 1000km driven so stopping at a repair station once every 10th job doesn't seem unreasonable.
