hey guys! the latest mexico map mods are still crashing! i have them above latest canadreams and c2c maps. any suggestions? cant go past border towns in mexico without a game crash. :(

i didnt think mexico is open atm with latest version out, New mexico is but have to get the add-on

It is a mod that lets you go into Mexico.

Make sure you have New Mexico, as I believe that it is required to use the latest version of C2C, which is required for Mexico.

HBS RESOURCERS 1.8
Mexico Extremeo 2.0B
Viva Mexico 2.4.4
Canadream 2.6
Coast to Coast 2.5.1

yes thats the order i have them in i also have new mexico dlc as well but with hbs 1.8 as soon as i go into mexico the game crashes if i pull hbs then i can at least make it to mexicalli or tijuana but no further without a crash.

Just yesterday I downloaded and installed the latest versions of the 3 Mexico mods that I am aware of.."HBS Resources ver 1.8", "MexicoExtremo ver 2.0B", and "VivaMexico ver 2.4.4". Those and "C2C ver 2.5" (which was updated yesterday June 3rd), and "CanaDream ver 2.5.1". (I cannot find a link in the forums to download CanaDream ver 2.6)They all loaded up and worked fine all day yesterday on ATS ver 1.31, then today when I loaded up Steam and started ATS it crashed causing me to do a computer restart. When I loaded up Steam ATS was uninstalled. I checked and my ATS document folder was still intact, so I made a backup copy then reinstalled ATS, loaded it up and it all works fine now, no loss of any other mods or game info, all the discovered cities and roads on the maps are still intact. I did have to reset the developer console to turn it on as it had been shut off, otherwise all is working at this point. I would suggest making a backup copy of your ATS document folder then have Steam check the integrity of your ATS files. If that doesn't work, someone with more computer knowledge then me will have to help.

what you said makes perfect sense i usually have to do a control alt del to bring up the task manager cuz the game wont always load so often that i put task manager on the task bar.

i have all you describe and in the same order . and i have never, ever got much further than the border even with v 1.29 and v 1.30. ihave tried without any other mods only the maps .and ive tried ever permutation of said five maps . it must be my low end system i cant think of anything else, such a shame cos mexico looks to be the most interesting map by a country mile

i dont think its your system im still having game crashes when going into mexico im trying new profiles to experiment with and without other added mods. no problem with canadreams and c2c tho.

well ive tried everything i can think of as well as suggestions from this post with no luck but im still open to more suggestions. thnx for your help guys! muchly appreciated! :)

I just made a trip to Zacatecas, Mexico the other day with no issues. The only difference is that i dont use Canadream but i really doubt it'll cause a crash when the map itself has no effect with Mexico. Post your game log it could another outdated mod thats causing the crash

well looks like if i load the maps canadream c2c then the 3 mexico maps and start the game in directx mode it finally works with no crashes. also had to pulll the satelite mod as well.

Thats great!. I didnt know you was running it on OpenGL. I heard Viva mexico and Mexico extremo wont work on OpenGL.

I must say that the Viva Mexico and Mexico Extremeo 2.0B maps are pretty impressive.

Finally some driving challenge over the generally dull/generic (but like real life) roads of the original ATS. Sure there are exceptions, like Yosemite, etc.

But in Viva Mexico and Mexico Extremeo 2.0B map, the damaged bumpy old road, the narrow ones in urban areas, the many roads in mountainous areas with superb views, the spectacular open sky mine of Concepcion del Oro. Just wow. I took me some time to get over there, but the trip was worth it!!!

I'm gonna spend a lot of time in those maps I'm sure! Everyone looking for fun and challenges should install those maps!
