Hmm, going to try that out. I can see the Xbox One Elite controller being very useful in this game. Shame I haven't got one.
After many years of playing with my Xbox 360 PC controller, I've pretty much mapped all relevant buttons that you use, for me, all the time. Wipers (varying speeds up/down) ,lights on/off (inc full beam) ,job activation (same button; refuelling , sleep, coupling) at depots, all camera views cycled. instant look ahead button after panning left/right, instant look left through drivers/passenger window button, instant look right button, engine on/off button. Button for decoupling. Braking and accelerating, turning steering with joystick, pan head view with joystick.
I used to have indicators (turn signals) mapped but the AI doesn't pay any attention to them and it was a waste of buttons! Obviously I can't have manual gears and axle lift/drop is automatic. But it's still a full on experience compared to any other driving game I've owned
Glad you enjoy it! Of course you can still manually use the right joystick to pan over the fixed look left/right shoulder buttons as they can sometimes cut out views at junctions etc. You can also adjust the FoV in the cab view (subtly), that alone with the quick views can make a huge difference in what you can see left/right. I have the 'look left' a sharper view over the 'look right', (there's a couple of fixed settings in the button choices) so that it also catches the cab mirror on some trucks it's further back over the side window. But it's a personal choice and preference. Everyone's different .
