Camera movement help
Hello fellow truckers. I use a xbox one controller and I know you can move the camera around with the Y anlog stick, but I was wondering if I can bind moving it left to look left and moving it right to look right. I just find it to slow when trying to look both directions, so I rather have it snap ti each side

You can assign buttons to do that. I used to use the left and right hat switch when I used the Xbox one controller. It was easy to use to quickly look left and right. I think the anologue stick only has one function and I am not sure if pressing it in has another function in the game but in some other games it does.

Yes. Just go to the button binding screen and set the stick there.

Huh, could have sworn it worked. There is a way to increase the sensitivity of the movement, but I do understand if this is not what you want, but if just pressing the stick (for instance) left in the "bind look left button" menu doesn't work, the movement may be your only option. You could also use buttons, but that is not as smooth.

Go into controller config panel in the Steam overlay and change the right analog stick from mouse to direction pad. Then you map the buttons as you see fit. I have mine set to:

Right: look forward right
Left: Look forward left
Up: Look right
Down: Look left
(I assigned my button to flash my high beams)

Combine it with a guide I wrote to have the camera auto center:

If you use camera control for exterior view, then you will need to add a layer to change between the directional pad and mouse control feature of the right stick.
