The prefab has to support the length of the Rocky Mountain Double at both ends. But I did find one at a Railway earlier today going to Winnemuca. I had to use the gear icon to change it, only reason I noticed. I have a habit of using doubles almost exclusively, and triples if the prefabs support it.

I don;t mind hauling B-trains, but you never get a challenging parking spot on delivery (tricky parking jobs are something I enjoy in ATS)

@B_Wald - I think there is a way someone mentioned to override the easy parking for doubles, but I could see it being very easy to get into a no-win situation (IE not being able to pull out and try again but just stuck). I personally love hard parking on regular trailers, but I'm glad they made doubles work the way they do.

Triples and RMD will only be available for jobs that start and end in Nevada, at supporting prefabs, so they can be quite rare.

You can remove the restriction via a console command for the skilled parking on double trailers and such. However, the reason SCS did this was because those trailers were never meant to be backed up to begin with. Does it happen in the real world? Well, probably rarely, I'm not sure. Those dollys tend to jack-knife very easily when you try to back them up.

Also, b-type trailers are largely not in the US. If any, they likely rolled down from Canada or something. I don't think the northern states really use them either due to axle limits and such for weight, but I'm not sure of regulations on those. (I have seen mentions of the trailer type though in handbooks, so who knows)

how do i remove the restrictions for the larger doubles

You can do one of two things: Enable the developer console and type this in:
uset g_simple_parking_doubles 0
That'll unlock the skilled parking for doubles. You do this at your own risk if you can't park them.

The other method is editing the config file itself:

{My Documents}\American Truck Simulator\profiles\{PROFILE}\

Open the config.cfg file in whatever editor you want and find uset g_simple_parking_doubles "1" and change the 1 to a 0.
