Trailer Parking Training Area
I would liket ot suggest a a new dlc or just update. the title says it all really just a huge parking lot or training type area for people to practice parking different kinds of trailers. and possibly tutorials or something to show the best backing method for the type of trailer.

would love to see this implemented, for poeple who really want to just sit back and get perfect at backing trailers, instead of having to pull back up 500 times till im just straight and can just back straight into spot.

Or just take a job, use the skilled parking and practice that way. Just a simple of making use of the save files.

Or there is Scania Truck Driving Simulator, it has a bunch of little challenges that also require backing up a trailer.

I honestly don't think this needs a whole DLC or anything really.

i always do skilled parking and practice that way, i mainly do short trips to try to get back to practice quickly but i would like to not have to do do the trip everytime just to get back to backing up a trailer.

i was just suggesting dlc i didn't say it has to be, it could just be a small update. but it would be nice to just have a big parking lot that you can get thrown into a truck with different kinds of trailer and just have to back em up to the spot they provide. be nice to just be able to when done just reset and do it again or a different spot/trailer.

i will defiantly look into scania truck driving sim, and see if they have a area like this in there game.

I don't know if they have the trailers that ATS have in game. The one I like to practice with in ATS is artigulator or something, because I would love to practice with that trailer. If I can practice backing up with that trailer, i can backup any trailer in ATS game. The smaller single trailers are the easiest, It's doubles and the one i just mentioned. But according to some who drive truck RL. You don't backup doubles you just park them. I watched a Youtube video and saw how they make it look easy when they backup artigulator. I can not do that yet. I can practice...but tend to agree with OP. Need some DLC to learn to park them or something for those of us that do not know how.

Articulated is the one you're after. ;)

exactly just want to see something small it doesnt have to be dlc just a update where they add a huge parking lot with spots to park a bunch of trailers and you can couple any trailer you want and find a spot around a bunch of other pre parked trailers and just back it in.

i would love to see the devs add this but if they dont or dont like the idea its fine with me just thowing out a idea that would be a cool addition to the game

@Chiggles - There is a thread for suggestions, ideas. Perhaps copy and past your post onto that thread. It wouldn't hurt.

The whole game is a series of parking practices...

Scania is not up to date and doesn't allow modern controllers in a reliable way, Logitech G920 and shifter for PC do not reliably work. The ATS is more advanced and capable than Scania. SCS also has Trucks and Trailers, which would be great if it was current, but also does not work well.

Just save a game at the destination gate, practice parking the trailer as much as you like.
Atomicdogg1 Feb 24, 2020 @ 11:56pm
You can practice with owned trailers if you just drive freely without taking a job you can park anywhere you want without worrying about being late

Y'all realize this topic is like two years old? lol
lrrcp90 Feb 27, 2020 @ 8:58am
Real life you are not jumping around driving multiple types of trailers, that is pretty much just a game thing.
Though they could add something like the truck driving schools with cones to allow offset parking, ally dock and parallel parking the rest is pretty much on the job training lol
