Dashboard definition
Hi truckers, I have an issue that maybe someone can help with. While playing ATS and ETS I am not able to see or read any of the dash gauges. None of them are clear and the definition sucks. Am I missing a setting somewhere or is there something else that I can do to change this. Thanks for your input.

What is your "Field of View" set to?

I like to set mine around 100 degrees but the gauges get blurry. If I set it to someting smaller like 90, I can see the gauges again but I won't be able to see out the side of my truck anymore.

I keep my FOV between 70-75 depending on the truck and still can barely see the gauges. Most seem to just be decorative so it's not a big deal, but smaller numbers are just hopeless to read. I thought it was just the nature of the game.

Not sure, what is this graphic setting you are referring to. Sorry, newbie, just finding my way around.

Increase the scaling. That's almost the only thing that makes the gauges clearer.

This is found in graphic settings within the game???

My mistake! It's actually found in the seat adjustment menu (go figure right?)

Press F4 - 3 times, when in game an unpaused, to get to that menu

Field of View can be adjusted by hitting F4 a couple times when you're driving, may need to be inside cab, I'm not sure. Scaling should be under the graphics options I think?

Thanks for your input, will try your suggestions and see how it works out for me.
Keep on truckin.

This is also the best option, considering your computer can handle the increase.

See what you mean, scaling set to 100% and this hasn't changed anything. Still cannot read gauges.

My scaling is set to 300% and my gauges are really quite clear. If you have the computer for it, scaling can be set as high as 400%.

I have my scaling set between 150%-200% and I have no problems reading the gauges. I also have my Field of View set to 90, and the seat adjusted all the way forward - with this set up and my 21:9 monitor, I'm able to see the entire dash, both side-view mirrors, and read all the gauges clearly.

[TL;DR] Rendering resolution * Scaling = Display resolution.

If you had the scaling below 100%, the game was visually degraded and then blown up on your screen, actually hurling at you graphic artifacts.

You can also map a button to zoom in - somewhere in settings.
Catratio Feb 24, 2018 @ 7:25am
Wait what? You can zoom in on the dashboard?

OMG there is a zoom option, it was just never mapped to anything. I can actually see my front and right side mirrors now and all the gauges. This changes EVERYTHING.
