I-Pad as a switch panel?
Hello all. I just bought an Ipad gen IV and was wondering if there are any apps that can pair it to the game to use as a switch or gauge panel? Is this possible? I am familiar (somewhat) with Roccat Power Grid. However; it seems to only be available to "Android devices". I've searched the app store and am not finding anything. So if you know where to look, that would be awesome if you could share the intel. Thanks in advance.

There is one I use on my android device that is supposed to be in the apple store as well that is a gauge panel. It has no switches but allows you to choose what set of gauges you want to see on your tablet so you can see your tac, speedo, etc. It's in the store as Gauge ETS2 & ATS.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but my question is kind of related...
Is there an Android app out there that will allow the Route Advisor to be used in the app and therefore removed from the main display?

If there isn't something like this, it's cool, it won't make or break my ATS experience, as I already love this thing, I'm just more curious at this point than anything... lol

Sorry friend, but it is nowhere to be found. Are you positive of the name you are giving to it?

Yea that's what it's listed as in the google store anyway. The name of it on my actual tablet is Velocimetro ETS, though, so maybe try searching that in the apple store.

There are ones in the store that can show you the route advisor but there are drawbacks in what SCS lets be transmitted from the actual route advisor. The ones I have tried only showed the map portion of the route advisor. My coding knowledge is limited at best but I've read a lot of posts on the subject and apparently there is no way to get route advisor going that actually shows the route + your position, only the map.

Okay found it:
https://www.roccat.org/en-US/Products/Gaming-Software/Power-Grid/Store/Grids/Games/Simulation/840/

And on the app market you must search under the category "Production" with keyword Roccat GmbH. Also make sure you search for all devices because this program doesn't show up if only searching IPAD. So it's actually designed for the IPhone. My only gripe so far is that it doesn't turn with the screen and only works vertically.

Got it running! Pretty sweet actually. Some of the switches aren't binded correctly so I'll have to figure out how to edit them in Roccat.

I know this doesnt really answer your question, but for anyone that opens this later may find it useful. I personally use Sim Dashboard, it is only available on android devices though. I use 2 old phones and a small tablet for my setup. They have recently updated their app to include button boxes as well. I play multiple racing games as well as ATS and ETS2 and almost every game i play is supported by Sim Dashboard. I did pay for the Pro upgrades because i use so many of the games. it allows me infinite screens and widgets for each individual game.Check it out if you have an android phone.

Hello. Long time user of Roccat PowerGrid. It works perfectly for things like this. With a tablet I got recently(instead of my iPod I used for ages), it became even more perfect for use. Roccat PowerGrid's editing system for buttons can be tricky to understand(I still struggle after 2? years with it).

This looks promising, I'll give it a shot as it shows a 'Route Advisor' from ETS2 in the images, and it lists ATS specifically as being compatible, so I'm gonna give this a shot and see what happens...

btw, checked out Roccat PowerGrid and it seems to work well. Basically just does key presses. So I decided to look at SimDashboard next. Installed it and it pretty much destroyed the Android installation on my tablet. I have never seen so much OS damage before. Going to have to reflash from recovery now.

I gave it a shot, and it works, but not as well as I was expecting.
I had to put it on my phone as apparently it wasn't compatible with either my Kindle Fire or my Nook. With the size of monitor that I use, this is really almost useless as my phone screen is about the same size as the Route Advisor that's displayed on the screen, so I'm not really gaining anything by using it.
Sad thing is, I had to buy the premium to be able to use the Route Advisor on it, so I'm out $12 as well... :steamsad:
