alt tab crash

I used to be able to alt tab ETS all the time. but now ATS i feel like if i alt tab it crashes and creats currupted files. has any one els experinced this? (i like to listen to youtube while i play the game so i often find myself alt tabing to change the song or look something els up)

I only ever do it occasionally if I find I have left the speakers turned off or I want to check something but I have never had a problem. I always do it from the game home screen.

I do alt tab several times in every session in both ATS and ETS2 - always work. In fact I have thought about it that it never fails.
Has it always been so in ATS or did it just start?
Look in your game.log file after a crash for "Error" Especially those at the end of the file. If you need help from the community copy and paste it into pastebin.com, make sure all the content gets there - then post a link here to it.

I just recently bought ATS on the sale I have about 4 or five hours into ATS but around 40 in ETS witch i know isnt much but i already like ATS better as far as look and feel. ( its more familare) i am about 90% sure its the gpu crashing becouse when i alt tab the screen goes black and stays black. Some times i can get out of it from cntrl alt delet some times it does nothing. Sometimes i can reboot with reboot switch some times i have to hold the power buttion. I am able to play still by loading an older auto save so far anyway but i have neber had a game crash like this from alt tabing.

How do i copy my game log file?


Edite even games like GTAV alt tabs well or beam.ng or arma 3 witcher 3

Tonight i will try on some other games i know alt tab well as this occured right before i was heading to bed

Try a different ''fullscreen mode'' Set it to Windowless Bordered if you have it on Fullscreen and visa versa. This might help at least a little.

well tonight i was playing the game like normal and alt tabed sevrial times and nothing happiend vary odd. thanks for all the help
